non illustration specific post bc i might have some luck getting info from people on here, but what are some tattoo artists’ advice for someone who has an interest in illustration, and wants to prepare for an apprenticeship ahead of time? should my approach be more educative? (i.e: setting the stage with terminology, read up on the tattoo manual ahead of time before i shoot for my license, create folders (like im doing already) with inspiration on existent inkers who are closest to what i want to specialize in style wise?). or do you suggest i wait for the apprenticeship to give me the run down so i avoid any misconceptions? i’m super new to inking like this, and i’ve really fallen in love with the medium— but i have zero practical experience outside of my foundational knowledge as a digital artist/illustrator.

any advice would be hella awesome 🩶

Medieval Demon time-lapse video

This is a time-lapse recording of a medieval style Demon, inspired by The Gigas Devil, Circa 1200, artist unknown. All done through procreate drawing inspiration from American traditional flash designs, mixing in my own weird twist - cigarettes, making this piece a blend of medieval and modern with humorous elements to it.

finally can share my gift for Danny! I went ahead and very secretly copied one of their own flash designs and drew it on tear-away fabric (first time using it, absolutely not the last, I love embroidering on black and now I can finally see a damn thing) I used some simple stiches and finally got an opportunity to use french knots with the red dots! :)

Then I went ahead and added a shrink plastic D and also at the bottom you might notice a little skull of my own flash I added like brands sometimes do! I don't know how they'll hold up in the wash, they're resin covered and I told them to only wash cold (which we all do anyways bc of The Economy) but it's a fun experiment and I can just replace them if they wear down!
